Badminton Club Sierre is a club and badminton team based in Sierre (Switzerland).
They needed to represent their team with a new logo to be used in communication, accessories and gears.
I approached the project by researching on the badminton iconography throughout the world so to be aware of its semiotics and visual standards and avoiding mainstream graphics and clichés: the intention was to create an original and yet long-lasting logo.
The final design is capturing the iconic badminton shuttlecock while conveying a sense of boldness, speed and traditional approach.
The design is based on a tetradecagon (14 sided polygon) on which the geometric patterns of the shuttle are constructed.
